The training and development of employees in William Hill is imperative for the performance or the company as they are in a competitive market. William Hill has to inform workers to be aware of surroundings in the area that they work. Training and Development Training Training is essential for both employees and employer if they want to be effective within the organisation and also for a company like William Hill to stay competitive within their market. The reason why training is important to employees is to enable them to achieve their maximum potential in their current position, it is needed also to develop them to create further opportunities within the organisation because employees are likely to be better educated and become multi-skilled. Training should be ongoing within William Hill in developing the employeeââ¬â¢s skills within the business. William Hill believes training is very essential for their company especially when it proves for employees to develop within the organisation and continuing to meet objective. The training and development of employees in William Hill is imperative for the performance or the company as they are in a competitive market. William Hill has to inform workers to be aware of surroundings in the area that they work. The main types of training which businesses are using are Induction, on and off the job training and induction because they are successful in degree of the work format in different organisations needs. Training firstly takes place with induction in William Hill plc to enable new employees settle in quickly and feel comfortable to stay within their organisation. Induction programmes are not usually about a specific job the employee will be doing, but the way in which the business works. Then they have off and on the job training, which takes place in different methods. Induction This is the training provided for new employees and in this program they will learn the following: * Where everything around the workplace is such as the essentials which are fire exits, toilets, staff canteen, basically they will get a guided tour of their place of work. * They will go through the employeeââ¬â¢s hour of work, who their manager is, name tags, uniform and training which will be provided for them in the future. * Booklets will handed out concerning sickness proc... ...otion, job rotation, job enlargement, and job enrichment. William Hill offer all staff all the opportunity to develop themselves, that is why if one has the ability can progress to management level and then given the opportunity will have to go through management induction program, this will aid William Hill as workers will be more motivated as they will gain a sense of achievement which leads to greater employee retention. Training is very important for William Hill as well staff because well trained workers will be more productive and this will enable the company to meet objectives set which will increase profit. This is also good for employees especially concerning performance relate pay because a higher dividend is given. It will help save cost as there will be less waste due to fewer mistakes made also the corporate image will be enhanced because the work force are better skilled and motivated. Training and Development can increase customer satisfaction and loyalty indirectly as work will be done more efficiently and they will be more motivation to keep customers happy also it can make William Hill more competitive as they will be performing better at work.

Multicultural Awareness Essay
The purpose of this paper is to analyze oneself by taking the Multicultural-Self Assessment and learn about the ââ¬Å"Otherâ⬠of one self. This will help one to associate with clients from different cultures. Multicultural Self-Assessment Summary The results of the Multicultural Self-Assessment were not surprising to me. Thirteen of the answers were five (5), which is not surprising to me because I was taught by my family and I to accept ââ¬Å"Othersâ⬠and not to judge anyone if you do not want to be judge yourself. What two fourââ¬â¢s (4) were not want I thought I would answer but I had to think very hard on it. I do like to listen to others ideas to a certain point. The point would be when the idea is against a certain group and thatââ¬â¢s where I draw line or it just benefits one certain group I will also draw the line there. I have learned to be much opened mind in the area of different cultural in our society and in the rest of the world. My behavior is the same with enter acting with peers, strangers, family, and co-workers. I refuse to change because of someoneââ¬â¢s culture. The saying ââ¬Å"What you see is what you getâ⬠(Flip Wilson, 1960) that is how I see myself. Story of Being ââ¬Å"Otherâ⬠The story of ââ¬Å"Otherâ⬠did not come until I went away for the first time to the University of New Mexico. I notice that there were many different organizations that were comprised of different races and cultures. I did not realize that there were people who did not like certain races or cultures. I was walking by my dorm and this young man who I see around campus before stopped me and ask me why my people (Mexican) come to this country and take away jobs of white people . I had to take a double take when he told me that and turn around and replied what type of jobs is being taken away from his people? He answered all types. I was angry but remained calm and told him that most of the jobs are in the fields, washing dishes, maid, and gardeners. He went on to say that those jobs are for them and in which I said I have not seen anyone out in the hot sun picking crops for more thanà eight hours. The young man told me to return to my country and stop taking up space that belong to his people. I have never been so offend so much in my life that it shocked me that I did not realize that I was being discriminated against . I finally opened my mind and eyes as to what is going on and finally told him that I will never leave this country because itââ¬â¢s where I was born here. Then he went on to say that he was going to call ICE on me and I told him to go ahead and that I was half-Mexican and Native American. He then stop talking to me and started too walked away and turned around and said ââ¬Å"Dirty Mexican.â⬠This situation made me open my eyes and I started to realize that within our society we need to understand different cultures and races and give the respect and honor them. ââ¬Å"Otherâ⬠and Multicultural-Self Assessment Reflection Being the ââ¬Å"Otherâ⬠and taking the Multicultural-Self Assessment has a great meaning to me, because of the up-bring I am the person that I am now days. With the help of my parents and my religious education that I had made me see that the world is filled with different types of people and one can learn many things about the different cultural and one can learn something from those cultures. I enjoy to meeting people and I do in my work and I have enjoyed working with everyone. I was not surprise that in the result of receiving so many 5 in the assessment. I have been told that I make friends easy and accept everyone without judgment. I am not saying I am perfect but I do have some faults. Next Steps The action that I would take is to use Emic when it comes to dealing with oneââ¬â¢s client. Emic approaches allow for the professional counselor to conceptualize the client as an individual and attend to cultural variations and culturally specific interventions (Hays & Gray, 2014). To be opened minded towards a person who has different beliefs and cultural. One must be able to work with clients that come from different cultures and to be able use knowledge of their cultures to can help one as a professional to help his or her client. Statement of Counseling Identity This one was a little harder to think about but my Statement of Counseling.à Identity would be ââ¬Å"I am the person who you will fire after you are on your right path .â⬠I want to be known for the counselor that her client does not need anymore. To let my clients know what to expect from me as their counselor. Explain that I am neither a psychologist nor a license clinical social worker (Coppock, 2012). Importance of Multicultural Awareness and Competence in Counseling Multicultural Awareness is very handy tool for a counselor; it shows where how one interacts with different cultures. This tool can show what oneââ¬â¢s weakness is and oneââ¬â¢s strong area is. Using the assessment is used then one is in competence to their clients. Heavenââ¬â¢s Gate and the Infringement of Religious Freedoms Introduction How much religious freedom do we want? The United States Constitution guarantees religious freedom to all citizens. However, since the establishment of this freedom, there have been continuous debates and modifications. Despite this independence, there have been times when the government felt it necessary to infringe upon religious freedom for various reasons. The question is, at which point it is okay for the government to become involved in religious affairs for the sake of safety and protection? The Heavenââ¬â¢s Gate religious group is one group in particular that has aroused much controversy in terms of the extent of religious freedom. In 1997, members ofâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦While it may seem contrary to their practices, Heavenââ¬â¢s Gate believers do not promote suicide in its normal connotation. Rather, they consider suicide transitioning into the next level when it is being offered. Prior to the mass suicide of 1997, Heavenââ¬â¢s Gate members tho ught that a UFO would pick them up from Earth and bring them to the next level. After years of waiting for the UFOââ¬â¢s coming and many false alarms, many Heavenââ¬â¢s Gate followers felt called to abandon their ââ¬Å"vehiclesâ⬠or bodies, in hopes of freeing the spirit into the next level as was exemplified in the ritual suicide in 1997. Additionally, there was also a large communal component to Heavenââ¬â¢s Gate. Members lived together and traveled together and members all had a platonic partner. With this platonic partner, Friction was practiced. Friction was where two individuals would share deep, personal issues that were meant to be uncomfortable so the two individuals could truly bond on a deeper level. Additionally, there was a group of individuals within Heavenââ¬â¢s Gate who were called the Away Team and held the position of leading members in The Process. The Process, one of the most central principles of Heavenââ¬â¢s Gate, is the journey to renounce all aforementioned personal attachments to the Earth so that one may be prepared to exit this level, such as the abstinence from sex and name changes.
